This is an exciting role within the Property Service, at a time when the County Council is preparing itself for Local Government Re-Organisation. You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues within the Service to shape the future direction of travel of the Service as it prepares itself to meet this challenge.
You will act as one of the Council’s practising property professionals supporting the Head of Property & Estates in all professional property matters.
You will be responsible for overseeing the works delivered by the Estates Practice, which is a multi-functional estates and commercial surveying team, provided through the Arc Partnership, a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council and public sector procurement specialist, SCAPE.
The role, whilst acting as the main intelligent client in the commissioning of the Estates Practice, will also include monitoring Arc’s performance across a full range of transactional activity that Arc delivers. As a property professional, you will also provide professional advice to the Council as a whole, which includes supporting the County Council's ambitious Capital Disposal Strategy and Land Development Programme.
Working closely with the Property Strategy & Information Manager, you will be supported by the in-house Estates Practice technical team to pro-actively support delivery of the Council's Corporate Property Strategy, Property Asset Management Plan and Service Asset Management Plans.
Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.
