A key community organization in Preston is seeking a qualified candidate for a leadership role ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia. This role is responsible for supporting VACCA in embedding legislative and compliance requirements across organisational policies, procedures, practice directives, and associated templates. It also provides oversight and centralised guidance on VACCA’s privacy obligations, as well as the Information Sharing and Practice Frameworks that govern our compliance responsibilities.
This role is responsible for leading the development, review, and maintenance of VACCA’s policies, procedures, and practice directives to ensure compliance with legislative and operational requirements. It provides central coordination and advice on privacy obligations, information sharing frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies, while managing privacy breaches and delivering tailored training. The position also Oversees policy governance tools, facilitates consultation with subject matter experts, and ensures timely communication of updates to staff. Additionally, it supports organisational compliance with OH&S standards, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, and promotes a culturally strong and efficient working environment.
