A local authority in the UK seeks a Lead Officer to oversee operations in a Control Room, managing a team that monitors Tunnel Traffic and CCTV. Ideal candidates will have qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, extensive knowledge of Intelligent Transport Systems, and experience in a Traffic Control Room. This is a full-time temporary position requiring availability for a 24/7 shift system, including weekends and Bank Holidays. Suitable for job share and temporary for 12 months.

As part of the wider Transport team in County Hall, staff in the Control Room deliver and implement a 24/7 service, providing a safe, informed and accessible city for all road users. This includes using systems such as City Centre Access, Tunnel Scada and CCTV. We are looking for someone exceptional to support management with leading this team with innovation, dedication and commitment, including supporting a future move to a brand new location.
