Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate Director, Corporate Ratings (TMT) based out of our London office.

About the Team

The EMEA Corporate group provides public and private ratings of companies and their debt instruments across Western Europe, CEE, CIS, the Middle East and Africa. The TMT & Services team covers a wide range of sub‑ with over 140 public and private credits and 18 analysts based across several European cities, including London, Frankfurt, Barcelona, Milan, Paris, Warsaw, and Stockholm. You will be part of a diverse, successful multinational team that values cooperation and open discussion.

This role is a permanent position that will be a maternity cover in the Corporates (TMT) department for the first 12 months. At the end of this period, you may be reallocated to a different area of the Corporates & Infrastructure group.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Support senior team colleagues with rating processes for a portfolio of credits, focusing on TMT sectors, and interact with corporate debt issuers and rating advisors, often in collaboration with other corporate sector teams.
  • Monitor news and results flow to identify events or trends which may lead to rating changes or the production of timely written comments.
  • Present and discuss rating recommendations, ideas, and facts effectively in writing and verbally to rating committees.
  • Deliver quality outputs to internal and external parties within deadlines.
  • Use effective questioning and listening skills in internal credit discussions and those with external constituents.
  • Assist in producing thematic research reports in your coverage sectors.
  • Support senior team colleagues in the preparation of presentations to investors and prospective issuers.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Be available to travel within the EMEA region, primarily in Western Europe.
  • Contribute to a team spirit of intelligent and open discussion as well as cooperation.

  • You have independent thought and some experience gained from a corporate credit or corporate finance background in banking, financial services, or industry.
  • You have solid cash flow modelling skills.
  • You possess general knowledge of financing instruments and familiarity with financing documentation.
  • You have well‑developed communication and teamwork skills.
  • You are fluent in all forms of written and spoken English.
  • You have strong time management skills and the ability to cope with tight deadlines.
  • You demonstrate reliability and integrity.
