Job summary

A hospitality group in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join their dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will prepare and cook high-quality dishes, assist in menu development, and ensure hygiene standards are maintained. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in a similar role and possess excellent communication skills. The role includes a competitive pay rate between £13-£13.50 per hour, pro-rated 28 days holiday, and additional perks such as staff discounts.

The Three Mile and Great North Hotel are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in food preparation, cooking, and presentation. You will work closely with other members of the kitchen team to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently delivered to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to our recipes and standards.
  • Assist in the development and creation of new menu items.
  • Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic at all times.
  • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Uphold food safety standards and procedures.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and professional working environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
  • Pizza making an advantage
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Food hygiene and safety certification.
