Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
At this service in Aberdeen, we support individuals with a wide range of needs to live as independently as possible in their own flats. The individuals you’ll be supporting range in age from 29 to 71 and enjoy lots of great activities. Some individuals are non-verbal and use Makaton to communicate, so experience with Makaton is helpful.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to support people with activities such as going to play pool, going to work placements, doing arts and crafts, playing pool, playing video games, gardening and spending time out in the community visiting local cafes or attending events.
Our team provides support 7 days a week, including some sleepover shifts. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday is required. Examples of typical shifts include:
