A leading Australian university is seeking a Systems Engineer to contribute to the design and implementation of the Frequency Distribution System for the SKA-Mid telescope. This role involves collaborating with international partners on a significant scientific project. Ideal candidates will have a tertiary qualification in systems engineering and extensive experience applying systems engineering principles. This full-time position offers a competitive salary within a dynamic research environment in Crawley, Western Australia.
The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) is a joint venture between Curtin University and The University of Western Australia, and one of the largest astronomy institutions in Australia. ICRAR plays a key role in the international Square Kilometre Array (SKA) Project – the world’s largest radio telescope. The Astrophotonics Group within ICRAR focuses on advanced photonic systems for astronomy and space science, combining expertise in physics, engineering, and astronomy to deliver innovative solutions.
