Office based role with travel to sites and various projects. Day release apprenticeship study at the workplace.

Role and Programme

The Digital Engineering Technician Apprentice will work alongside the team of Digital Coordinators and technicians as part of the discipline design teams. They will be guided by mentors to produce deliverables to support the delivery of drawings, models and visualisations across a multidisciplinary team. The apprenticeship covers various digital engineering techniques and aspects within an industry that has a growing demand on data automation, information management and BIM. The Apprentice will be a key member of the team, using engineering principles to communicate complex concepts to project team members. The apprentice will be supported by line managers to achieve goals through study and by gaining skills within the workplace.

Qualifications and Entry Requirements

What qualification will I receive through the apprenticeship?

  • As part of this apprenticeship, you will follow the Digital Engineering Technician Level 3 apprenticeship standard which takes 3 years to complete.

What you’ll need to be considered

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade A*-C / 4-9 (or equivalent)
  • You don’t need previous experience, but you need to be ready to learn, have a positive mindset and a can-do attitude
  • Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable. Please note that we do not provide sponsorship.
