Overview

Customer Delivery Driver - Chichester Extra role at Tesco. This is a full-time position with details on pay, hours, and availability provided below.

Responsibilities

• I will deliver our customer shopping trip as part of the delivery process, ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy.
• Leave the back yard clean and pick up litter as I see it.
• Wash trays as part of the tray wash process and load the van as required, checking roadworthiness.
• Talk to the customer about any changes to their order, including substitutions, and offer refunds for items they are unhappy with.
• Take care of products/deliveries as if they were my own and explain substitutions to customers to avoid extra charges.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot and call the customer before arriving if early; call the store if running 30 minutes or more late.

You will need

• Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and ensure the store delivers great service.
• Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say "Thank you".
• Be adaptable to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
• Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work life.
• Share ideas with the Manager and colleagues on how to improve the store for customers.
