Visual Merchandising Assistant (Central London)

Responsibilities
- Support the project management and implementation of Visual Merchandising and Store Design executions in permanent doors, temporary activations and pop‑ups, ensuring timelines are met within budgetary parameters.
- Conduct monthly competitor reviews, communicating trends and relevant updates from inside and outside the beauty industry to the wider team.
- Support the implementation of new product launches and permanent animations in‑store, considering all customer touch points and building customer‑centric and engaging retail concepts from creative brief to post‑installation.
- Develop, track and communicate VM elements forecasts, tester ordering, purchase orders, maintenance reports and control/report allocated budgets.
- Organise and implement visual and digital updates from brief to execution across the permanent estate in collaboration with VM Project Managers.
- Provide key support for new door openings and site launches, organising all elements and teams, attending and contributing to physical merchandising days.
- Conduct monthly visits to key doors and champion collaboration with Retail Excellence Manager, creating Launch VM Guidelines and post‑installation reports to ensure retail excellence.
- Support the creation of effective briefings for internal and external designers, manage external suppliers and agencies, visiting productions to supervise quality of materials and prototypes.
- Integrate sustainability as a key driver of the visual merchandising action, participating in the VM Sustainability Taskforce and supporting Head of VM in delivering sustainability goals in the UK and globally.
- Partner and ally with the wider internship team to ensure VM & Store Design leads cross‑functional projects, presenting and cascading them across the Coty community.
Qualifications
- Creative, Marketing or Business‑related degree (Interior Design, Product Design or Architecture also desirable).
- Experience managing multiple projects and delivering retail excellence.
- Open and diverse work ethic, eligible to work in the UK.
Technical Skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
- Office package: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- 3D design or CAD software (Sketch‑up, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, C4D) highly desirable but not essential.
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills for engaging stakeholders and pitching ideas.
