For more than three decades, we’ve delivered authoritative content and market‑defining events across the automotive, aerospace, transport and technology sectors.

Our brands are known for their innovation, global reach and deep industry relevance, and our teams pride themselves on creating high‑value experiences for exhibitors, delegates, and readers alike.

Joining UKi means becoming part of a collaborative, fast‑moving organisation that encourages creativity, commercial ambition and professional growth.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Are you looking for the opportunity to launch or develop your creative career? Are you creative, quick‑thinking, and outrageously organised? And are you going to impress us so much with your designs and social savvy that we can’t help but give you increased responsibility? If so, read on:

UKi Media is a dynamic, fast‑growing company that owns some of the world’s most successful trade shows. All our events have significant growth both in sales and delegate attendance, and this is no accident. We have a team of the most dedicated and talented people in the industry, and award‑winning marketers.

The purpose of this new role is to own our social media presence and bring our brand to life visually. You will be responsible for designing compelling content and managing our social channels to promote some of our trade technology exhibitions.

THE ROLE:
  • Lead all social media design: Design, create, and deliver a wide range of visual assets, including social media graphics, Instagram Stories, short‑form videos (Reels/TikToks), email banners, infographics, and digital ads.
  • Manage the social media content calendar: Plan, schedule, and post content across all relevant platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, etc.) in line with the marketing strategy.
  • Act as the voice of the brand: Monitor all social media channels, actively engage with our community, respond to comments and DMs, and foster a positive brand image.
  • Write compelling content: Write, edit, and proofread engaging, on‑brand short‑form copy for all social media posts, tailoring the tone for each platform and audience.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team: Work with team to translate marketing strategies and conference themes into compelling visual campaigns.
  • Analyse and report: Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance and key metrics, providing insights for optimisation.
  • Support sales and partners: Create visually engaging sales enablement materials (like social cards for exhibitors) and collaborate with partners to share and promote content.
  • Stay on‑trend: Keep a pulse on the latest social media platform changes, design trends, and viral content to ensure our brand remains relevant and innovative.
  • Manage creative assets: Organise and maintain a central library of all creative assets, ensuring all materials are on‑brand.
What You Will Bring To The Team
  • A strong, creative portfolio: This is essential. We’d like to see your design work, ideally with examples of social media campaigns.
  • Technical design skills: High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva.
  • Social media fluency: Demonstrable experience managing brand social media accounts (please share links!).
  • Video editing skills: Experience with short‑form video creation and editing for Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts is a huge plus.
  • Platform expertise: A deep understanding of all major social media platforms and their specific content requirements.
  • Outstanding organisation: Ability to manage multiple projects, a busy content calendar, and deliver high‑quality work on time.
  • Great attention to detail: In design and social, you know the little things matter.
  • Ambition: A drive to develop your creative marketing career.
  • Great ideas: Have something to teach us about social media.
  • A collaborative spirit: Get on well with people from all walks of life (and the ability to network and make new friends quickly!).
  • Grace under pressure and flexibility to accommodate extended working hours as needed around key show times.
  • A fabulous sense of humour.
  • What You Can Expect in Return
    • The chance to hone your skills in all aspects of digital design and social media marketing and learn from others.
    • A genuine opportunity to develop your career; the company is growing quickly.
    • A fair remuneration package, with a performance‑related bonus.
    • A great place to work.
