Cognitive Behavioural Therapist - Stafford

Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist – Face to Face

Location: Mindplace Stafford, Riverside Shopping Centre, ST16 3AL.

Permanent. Part‑time hours available (minimum of 2 days per week*).

Salary: Competitive plus excellent Bupa benefits.

Session Requirements
  • Monday to Friday: Early shift 08:00‑16:00, Late shift 14:00‑22:00.
  • At least one shift per week must be a late shift.
  • Saturdays 08:30‑17:00 (at least 1 in every 3 weekends, may vary by location).
  • Each day will include 5 appointments.
Role Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or brief interventions with excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations to guide evidence‑based interventions.
  • Offer service delivery via face‑to‑face, telephone or video consultations as per client preference.
  • Adhere to Bupa’s case‑management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the therapy team.
  • Manage session limits according to clients’ private medical insurance allowances, working toward therapeutic recovery goals.
  • Provide signposting or onward referrals as required.
  • Offer ad‑hoc wellbeing support and coaching when needed.
  • Conduct one‑off assessments and referral recommendations.
  • Provide group psycho‑education and promote mental wellbeing through remote presentations, workshops and training.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies.
  • Attend individual and group clinical supervision to support practice.
  • Collaborate with operational and clinical teams to improve client and employee experiences.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Post‑Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT/High Intensity) – BABCP accredited.
  • Full BABCP accreditation.
  • At least 2 years’ experience delivering high‑intensity CBT with working‑age clients presenting diverse issues.
Desirable (Not mandatory)
  • Training and accreditation in specialized areas such as EMDR.
  • Corporate experience and business understanding.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.

  • General adult mental health speciality experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft systems and electronic medical record systems.
  • Ability to evaluate, plan and prioritise workload under demanding timeframes.
  • Strong customer service and client liaison experience.
  • Excellent application of clinical knowledge and communication skills.
  • Strong professional drive, self‑motivation, and team‑player qualities.
  • Effective diary management and target‑driven caseload handling.
  • High standards of written and oral communication.
  • Diverse and varied clinical experience.
