A local healthcare institution in Newport seeks a qualified Physiotherapist to assist with clinical duties and enhance the efficiency of the physiotherapy service. The role involves patient referrals, planning caseloads, and ensuring high treatment standards. Candidates must be qualified with a BSc in Physiotherapy, registered with HCPC, and possess excellent communication skills. This opportunity includes participation in evening and weekend duties as needed. Competitive pay of £20.40 per hour plus benefits.
Rate of Pay: £20.40 per hour plus 12.07% WTD
Responsible to: Physiotherapy Manager
You will assist with the clinical responsibilities pertaining to the everyday organisation and efficient running of the physiotherapy service, including in-patient on a weekend rota.
• You will be responsible for assisting in prioritising patient referrals, allocating and organising the work of colleagues and assistant staff to meet service priorities on a daily basis.
• You will be responsible for organising and planning your own caseload to meet service and patient priorities.
• You will ensure the provision of a comprehensive physiotherapy service, ensuring that all treatments and interventions are of a consistently high standard, evidence informed and patient focused.
• You will adopt a flexible and participative approach to innovation and change and promote patient’s individuality and dignity at all times.
• You will be required to participate in evening, weekend and bank holiday working in conjunction with meeting the service needs of the Centre and hospital.
• You will be required to participate in CPD sessions/initiatives and in-service training programmes.
• You will be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care.
