A leading infrastructure services provider is seeking a Telecoms Fibre Assistant Project Manager to support fibre optic network projects in Newport. The role involves assisting in project coordination, maintaining documentation, and ensuring quality assurance while liaising with clients and internal teams. Candidates should have a background in telecommunications and strong organisational skills. The position offers competitive pay ranging from £35k to £40k per annum along with a standard benefits package.
The Project Management Department is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects that meet organisational goals, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. The team oversees the full project lifecycle — from initial scoping and budgeting to execution, monitoring, and final handover.
The Telecoms Fibre Assistant Project Manager (APM) is a key role within the Project Management Department, supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of fibre optic network projects. The postholder will work closely with Project Managers and cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, within scope, and within budget.
This role requires strong organisational capability, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of fibre network build processes. The APM will help drive operational excellence, monitor progress, support field teams, and assist with ensuring compliance with industry and client standards.
The position is based at the Newport Office, working Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00.
