Job Details
  • Title: HVAC Engineer / Air Conditioning Engineer
  • Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus van/fuel card, overtime, no on‑call, 23 days annual leave + bank holidays, 80p/hour extra for attendance bonus (£1,600/annum)
  • Location: Watford and surrounding (minimal London work)
Responsibilities
  • Work on a mobile basis, carrying out service and preventive planned maintenance on a wide range of air conditioning appliances.
  • Maintain systems such as VRVs, VRFs, splits, and multi‑split systems.
  • Cover Bristol and Southwest, providing excellent customer service to high‑end residential apartment blocks (landlord side only), offices, luxury care homes, and other commercial sites.
  • Provide overtime as available.
  • Use a van provided for tools, which can also be used for personal use.
  • Standby on call 1 week in 9 with standby allowance and overtime rates paid door‑to‑door.

Candidate Profile
  • Good customer service skills, well‑presented, articulate, able to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for accurately identifying faults on VRV systems, VRFs, splits, AHUs, etc.
  • Recognised air conditioning qualifications including F‑Gas, City & Guilds NVQ.
  • Experience working on air conditioning service and maintenance contracts.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of air conditioning appliances including splits, VRVs, VRFs, and multi‑split systems.
  • Motivated, trustworthy, and looking to progress with a forward‑thinking business.
  • Role paid door‑to‑door (time and half for all travel).
