  • Produce formal written reports that demonstrate highly developed specialist knowledge in diagnosis and management of patients; ensure reports are structured and use appropriate terminology.
  • Manage an individual caseload of patients with accurate and timely record keeping; participate in audit, discrepancy reviews, and learning reviews.
  • Provide clinical support, supervision, and guidance to colleagues within the DXA department; as a Band 7 radiographer, hold management responsibility for junior staff, including supervision, teaching, and mentorship.
  • Teach radiographers, radiologists, students, and assistant practitioners; maintain engagement in CPD and other development activities to support service quality and professional growth.
  • Support service development and contribute to broader imaging service improvements; participate in developing efficient, safe, patient-centred pathways.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Band 7 radiographer with experience in DXA and advanced practice responsibilities.
  • Ability to interpret and report DXA scans independently, with knowledge of ROS standards and local policies.
  • Experience in teaching, mentoring, and supporting colleagues across a radiology department.
