You Will Be Required To:

  • Maintain a high standard administrative support service to meet the needs of the role.
  • Ensure accurate, efficient, and timely typing skills.
  • Process investigations efficiently and effectively.
  • Treat all aspects of your role with the highest level of confidentiality.

Job Description

Main Duties Of The Role:

  • Ensure all admin / secretarial duties are carried out efficiently and effectively whilst always having the patient at the forefront of your mind, enabling our GPs to always deliver the best patient care.
  • Ensuring referral letters, insurance and solicitors reports, subject access requests, internal and external queries are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure you understand all aspects of your role and adhere to the team’s SOP where appropriate.
  • Ensure you meet individual / team KPIs / targets.
  • Provide cover / overtime for your team during periods of annual leave / sickness.
  • On occasion you may also be required to provide admin support across the department to meet the needs of the business.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Previous admin experience.
  • Good keyboard and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Able to work autonomously and equally in a team.

Desirable

  • Understanding of Medical Terminology.
  • Experience in an NHS admin role and the use of in‑house medical systems, preferably SystmOne.
