The ACA Programme

You will be based in our Accounts service line where you'll gain valuable commercial insights into how organisations operate and the challenges they face. Your responsibilities will grow as you progress through the programme, with the potential to supervise other trainees by your second year.

Key Responsibilities

Our Accounts team plays a vital role in assisting our clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

Whether it be advising on technical elements of accounting standards, ensuring that our clients have the right information to hand to make well‑informed decisions, or assisting to prepare financial accounts, our Accounts team spends a large proportion of their time supporting clients to meet their technical and compliance needs.

Using this technical understanding, our Accounts team gets to understand our client’s businesses and the individuals behind them. They offer strong strategic advice to ensure that our clients grow and develop their business in a way that aligns with their strategic goals.

Skills / Knowledge / Expertise
  • Individuals who are collaborative and eager to take on new challenges
  • A minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate degree in any degree discipline
  • Minimum of 2 x A levels (A‑C) and one other A level or equivalent
  • 5 GCSEs grades A*‑C or 9‑4 (including Maths and English Language or equivalent)
  • Ability to absorb new information and adapt quickly
  • Comfortable working with numbers and demonstrating strong attention to detail
  • Clear and thoughtful written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to explain financial information in an accessible and supportive manner
