Position/Task Grade: EEE. Department: Treasury. Business Unit: Treasury Portfolio Management and Trading. Reporting to the General Manager Treasury, the Snr Manager Portfolio Management and Trading will be responsible to provide leadership and taking direct responsibility for managing domestic financial market trading room activities and arranging listed debt facilities from institutional investors, direct and coordinate foreign exchange, commodity and directive trading activities and oversee the hedging of Eskom’s foreign currency risk.

Qualification(s):

• B Degree in Economics/ Finance/ Mathematics/ Investment Management at a NQF level 7 with 360 credits or a
• B Tech in Economics/ Finance/ Mathematics/ Investment Management at a NQF level 7 with 360 credits or an
• Advanced Diploma in Economics/ Finance/ Mathematics/ Investment Management at a NQF level 7 with 360 credits.

Experience:

• 10 Years’ Treasury experience in Trading (Foreign Exchange/ Commodities/ Fixed Income, Domestic market), Portfolio/ Risk Management/ Financial Structuring.

• Lead Financial market trading room activities and the arrangement of listed debt facilities from institutional investors.
• Coordinate management of foreign exchange and commodity market trading activities.
• Strategically manage the currency and commodity risk associated with Eskom’s foreign currency.
• Strategically manage the currency and interest rate risk associated with Eskom’s loan book.
• Provide strategic leadership and optimise performance of the section’s overall activities.
