You will partner with operations, engineering, technical, quality and finance to ensure the Site has the goods and services it needs to operate reliably and safely.

We value collaborative problem-solvers who drive supplier performance and cost value while keeping quality and compliance front and centre. This role offers clear growth, visible impact on site performance, and the chance to help GSK unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.

  • Manage the interfaces between Procurement and the Site, balancing the expectations of both Procurement and Site stakeholders
  • Ensure that Site requirements are considered within the definition and implementation of Global Category Strategies
  • Develop and implement Procurement strategies for local owned categories of spend that clearly meet business requirements
Procurement Management
  • Manage the Procurement function across the Site (Direct and Indirect Spend)
  • Develop and manage the Site supply base to meet GSK’s requirements: assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service, cost, and innovation to control costs in a fast-moving environment. Adapt and respond to regularly changing business requirements.
  • For specific spend categories, negotiate contracts.
  • Co-ordinate support from multiple Category Teams and work within a matrix organization.
Team

You will manage a ‘Site Procurement Specialist’ professional also based at the Ware Site.

Responsible to select, train, supervise, develop and evaluate team members. Manage and motivate team members towards the pursuit of operational excellence and attainment of best practices. In addition, promote empowerment and process ownership.

Why you?

  • Direct experience managing procurement for a specific supply category, or more generically across site level spend (Direct or Indirect)

  • Demonstrated experience establishing annual Direct Material budgets, establishing Standard Costs and tracking PPV performance vs targets
  • Commercial and negotiation skills, demonstrated through supplier contracts or savings delivery
  • Ability to drive & implement change
  • Enterprise mindset – translating & mapping Procurement goals to business needs
  • Demonstrated team management skills (with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues, and work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or professional certification in procurement or supply chain (for example CIPS or CPSM)
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences or highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Experience in sourcing Respiratory Devices &/or Printed Paper Packaging
  • CI Mindset – operational excellence trained/certified

CLOSING DATE for applications: Friday 9th of January 2026 (COB).

Benefits
  • Competitive base Salary
  • Annual bonus based on company performance
  • Opportunities to partake in on-the-job training courses
  • Opportunities for support for professional development and chartership (accreditations and professional bodies)
  • Access to healthcare and wellbeing programmes
