Our accountancy practice client is recruiting for an ambitious Part Qualified ACA Audit Trainee to join the team at the firm's City of London office. The role will be based in the firm's Non‑Profit team, therefore, previous non‑profit/not for profit audit experience is required.

The role will offer career progression and the opportunity to gain experience across a range of accountancy disciplines, and working on a variety of charity, education and trade association and corporate clients. This role will be audit focused while getting exposure to wider business advisory work.

• Carrying out audit/accounts and related tax assignments for clients
• The role requires some on‑site auditing at clients' offices
• Draft basic corporation tax computations
• Prepare financial statements in line with relevant standards and legal requirements
• Assist with managing client expectations and deadlines
• Provide support with drafting recommendations to management following audit fieldwork completion
• Working with other trainees to deliver assignments and assisting them with their personal development
• Attend client meetings in collaboration with the Manager / Partner
• To attend client gatherings or client seminars on an ad hoc basis and to pursue specific areas of interest
• Accurately and efficiently process client accounting information using relevant software
• Assist the team with ad hoc duties to support the overall smooth running of assignments
• Assisting with general administrative duties including meeting and greeting clients, filing, answering the queries and supporting the team to meet deadlines as required
• Provide support with drafting of close out audit meeting agenda and points for discussion

• Currently studying towards the ICAEW ACA qualification, having completed at least all certificate level papers with no more than three failures, or be AAT Level 4 qualified
• At least 1 year of audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice is mandatory, with experience of working with non‑profit clients
• Be technically competent and able to demonstrate a clear understanding of audit testing and approach when assisting the audit team across a wide range of sectors
• Experience of Pro‑audit, CaseWare, CCH Accounts Production, Xero accounting, QuickBooks and Alphatax, Office 365 would be desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
