You will be working a minimum of 3 days per week from a Power New Build office or client office.Join our Nuclear & Power Division, as a Civil Engineering Manager and play a pivotal role, creating spaces and places that matter. The Civils Engineering Manager is responsible for the civil engineering package of works for a given project. This includes responsibility for budget, programme, and safety.In this highly technical role, you'll lead from end-to-end on a broad range of projects, with plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself and support the development of your peers.## Your role* You will be based in our Bristol office and will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing our track record and reputation for top quality engineering and building our reputation as a provider of choice for high end, complex plant and equipment and infrastructure delivery projects.* You will become part of an integrated multi-disciplined team shaping the future of the Energy industry by delivering world class projects. We’re recruiting specifically as our portfolio on the Sizewell C, Small Modular Reactors, Hinkley Point C and UKAEA projects is increasing therefore an appetite to become involved in these exciting future Nuclear New Build projects would be beneficial.* The ever-changing conditions of the energy industry means we need individuals who can adapt, change, and thrive when working in dynamic environments, and we strive to balance these demands with a focus on inclusivity, well-being and flexible working which helps to bring the best out in all our staff.* Our culture, projects, technical support, and delivery systems will provide you with all you need to bring your best on a domestic and world stage.## About you* To be successful in this role, you should be a chartered engineer with demonstrable technical knowledge and experience within civil and structural engineering design and construction.* You will have experience working and delivering within a multi-discipline environment and being responsible for delivery of the engineering design.* You will have experience in working with large scale projects and will be comfortable making engineering-based decisions with significant impact on engineering risk.* Strong commercial acumen and a firm grasp of the context and implications of engineering activities and decisions will also be necessary.* Varying degrees of relevant experience and skillsets will be considered for the role.* In addition, you will display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* You will possess an innovative mind set, have a flexible approach, and have the capacity to deliver high quality work on a consistent basis in a demanding environment.* Mobility and agile working between our offices and client sites is encouraged in our dynamic project environments to ensure a collaborative approach with your colleagues and clients.* Knowledge and experience of developing and managing safety cases would be welcomed but not required.## Reward & benefitsExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive – at every stage of your life and your career.
