A major engineering design contractor in the UK is looking for candidates with expertise in control projects to develop PLC and HMI software within the Water and Wastewater treatment sector. Ideal candidates will have experience with Siemens and Rockwell systems, a strong track record in delivering complex projects, and the ability to reverse engineer software. This role will join BGEN – one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value‑added engineering solutions.
You will be involved in every stage of a control project, from design through development, testing, and commissioning. You will be supported with clear technical documentation that keeps everything simple and transparent. You will be creating PLC and HMI software that makes systems intuitive and reliable, and you will be developing SCADA solutions that give powerful tools for monitoring and control. You will be adding value by reverse engineering existing systems to produce accurate design documentation. You will be mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge, and helping the whole team grow together with confidence and care.
