• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance to maximise plant uptime.
• Troubleshoot faults and support fast, effective repairs across mechanical systems.
• Maintain accurate records using our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Uphold the highest safety standards and lead by example during tool talks, handovers, and team briefings.
• Work collaboratively with operations, compliance, and engineering teams to meet site KPIs.
• Support the management of spare parts and liaise with contractors and suppliers on‑site works.

You’ll be a hands‑on problem‑solver with experience in a mechanical maintenance environment, ideally in energy‑from‑waste, industrial services, or similar. You’ll bring a proactive mindset, a safety‑first attitude, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

• Relevant mechanical qualifications or a time‑served apprenticeship (essential).
• Experience with PPM, reactive maintenance, and mechanical fault finding.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
• Familiarity with Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments, and permit‑to‑work systems.

Our technology includes everything from mechanical and biological treatment, traditional mass‑burn energy from waste and material recycling technologies to in‑vessel composting, advanced thermal treatment, innovative small‑scale energy from waste and anaerobic digestion. In a single year we process 300,000 tonnes of waste that is turned into energy. This generates the same amount of energy as approximately 600 million solar panels. Similarly we recycle circa 95,000 tonnes of waste.
