The Role
  • Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance to maximise plant uptime.
  • Troubleshoot faults and support fast, effective repairs across mechanical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records using our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Uphold the highest safety standards and lead by example during tool talks, handovers, and team briefings.
  • Work collaboratively with operations, compliance, and engineering teams to meet site KPIs.
  • Support the management of spare parts and liaise with contractors and suppliers on‑site works.
The Person

You’ll be a hands‑on problem‑solver with experience in a mechanical maintenance environment, ideally in energy‑from‑waste, industrial services, or similar. You’ll bring a proactive mindset, a safety‑first attitude, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

  • Relevant mechanical qualifications or a time‑served apprenticeship (essential).
  • Experience with PPM, reactive maintenance, and mechanical fault finding.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Familiarity with Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments, and permit‑to‑work systems.
