Job summary
A specialist manufacturing company in the North East is seeking a QHSE Director to lead its QHSE and Security functions. This senior leadership role requires a strong leader to engage with executive teams and ensure compliance across operations. Key responsibilities include developing robust QEHSS policies, managing quality assurance, and improving health, safety, and sustainability initiatives. Candidates need relevant qualifications in engineering or health & safety and experience in aerospace. A competitive package is available.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- Chartered status with relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH, IEMA).
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in the aerospace sector.
- Lead Auditor certification for relevant ISO standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QEHSS strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Act as trusted advisor on quality, environmental, health & safety matters.
- Drive cultural change to embed QEHSS excellence.
- Lead the development of QEHSS policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards.
