Job description

At Poka, we’re transforming how frontline teams operate, learn, and solve problems.

Our connected worker platform is purpose-built for manufacturing, empowering frontline workers to share knowledge, collaborate in real-time, and drive continuous improvement. Think of it as the missing digital link, bringing the human interface into the stack of the Smart Factory, generating the right data and insights that drive entirely new scales of process improvements.

We’re proud to support global leaders like Nestlé, Bosch, Mars, and Danone in their digital transformation journeys and as part of the IFS family, our reach and impact continue to grow globally.

Help lead Poka into a new frontier.

We’ve just partnered with a major global Oil & Gas company - our first customer outside of traditional manufacturing - and we’re adapting our product and approach to meet the needs of this highly complex, high-stakes industry. This is a rare opportunity to shape how Poka expands into the Energy sector while becoming the trusted technical advisor for one of our most strategic customers.

What this role is all about

As a Technical Account Manager - Oil & Gas, you’ll serve as the senior technical guide across architecture, integrations, security, rollout strategy, and long-term customer health. You’ll work directly with the customer’s digital transformation, IT/OT, operations excellence, and safety teams, ensuring Poka is successfully deployed across multiple global sites.

This role blends solutions architecture, technical advisory, and customer success leadership. You’ll challenge new requests when needed, translate complex requirements into scalable solutions, and ensure the platform delivers measurable impact for frontline teams.

What you’ll be doing
Enterprise Architecture & Technical Design
  • Lead the end-to-end technical design for deploying Poka across global production sites.
  • Collaborate to design integrations between Poka and systems such as IFS Cloud, IFS OI, and future ERP/MES/CMMS/LMS platforms (e.g., SAP, IBM Maximo, OSIsoft PI).
  • Ensure alignment with Oil & Gas sector security, compliance, and IT/OT standards.
  • Plan and participate in multi-site rollout activities, working closely with the onboarding team to ensure readiness, consistency, and scalability.
  • Organize and lead workshops with the consulting partner and client teams to support successful deployment across sites.
  • Shape user stories and technical requirements for how Poka will support three key Oil & Gas use cases:
    • Operator rounds
    • Procedures
    • Work order–related workflows and integrations
  • Collaborate with Poka’s Product Owner dedicated to the customer to ensure testing cycles, delivery timelines, and release milestones remain on track.
  • Partner with the broader product team to confirm that new features and enhancements meet the operational and technical needs of the client.

AI & Analytics Enablement

  • Guide the customer in adopting Poka’s AI capabilities - including video-to-SOP conversion, multilingual transcription, and frontline analytics.
  • Ensure that Poka AI tools utilization are maximized at the client so they can benefit as most as possible from those.
Operational Excellence & Process Standardization
  • Support standardization of training, skills management, and daily management (DM) practices using Poka.
  • Connect frontline knowledge capture to continuous improvement cycles at both site and enterprise levels.
Rollout Planning & Global Governance
  • Ensure consistent implementation across refineries, plants, and business units worldwide.
  • Act as the customer’s primary technical point of contact for environment configuration, SSO, logs, troubleshooting, and risk mitigation.
  • Proactively monitor technical signals to prevent issues before they escalated.
  • Coordinate with Support, Engineering, and Product to quickly resolve technical challenges.
  • Advocate for product enhancements based on real-world usage and industry needs.
What you bring
  • 5+ years in industrial IT/OT architecture, ideally within Oil & Gas, Energy, or Process Manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of MES/ERP/LMS ecosystems - SAP, IBM Maximo, OSIsoft PI, and related platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, and interoperability frameworks.
  • Understanding of operational excellence, safety/compliance workflows, and training digitization.
  • Experience supporting multi-site global deployments and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to translate technical complexity into clear guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Why Poka
  • Shape how Poka expands into the Energy sector - your work will directly influence our product, roadmap, and architectures.
  • Work with a global enterprise customer deeply committed to digital transformation.
  • Collaborate with a smart, passionate team across engineering, product, and customer success.
  • Join a fast-growing company backed by IFS, with strong momentum in AI innovation and frontline operations.
  • Make a meaningful impact on how thousands of workers learn, collaborate, and solve problems every day.
What we offer
  • Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
  • A truly flexible schedule that allows you to adapt your work hours.
  • Benefits Plan offered from day one.
  • MacBook Pro and €500 allowance for your home office.
  • The tools, support, and opportunities you need to keep learning and progressing in your career.
