Job summary

A specialist manufacturing company in the North East is seeking a QHSE Director to lead its QHSE and Security functions. This senior leadership role requires a strong leader to engage with executive teams and ensure compliance across operations. Key responsibilities include developing robust QEHSS policies, managing quality assurance, and improving health, safety, and sustainability initiatives. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • Chartered status with relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH, IEMA).
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in the aerospace sector.
  • Lead Auditor certification for relevant ISO standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QEHSS strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Act as trusted advisor on quality, environmental, health & safety matters.
  • Drive cultural change to embed QEHSS excellence.
  • Lead the development of QEHSS policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards.
