Job summary

A leading global interconnect company is seeking a Design Engineer specializing in mould tooling in Whitstable. The ideal candidate will have a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in the automotive or aerospace industry. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years Design Engineering experience preferably in Automotive or Aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • Experienced using CREO or similar 3D CAD and product lifecycle management software.
  • Experience with simulation software to refine component/tooling design.

Responsibilities

  • Support team in addressing production stops and investigate design updates.
  • Contribute to Moulding Engineering Design workload as required.
  • Ensure corrective actions meet quality standards and are documented.

Skills

Understanding manufacturing processes and tolerances
Strong interpersonal and team working skills
Ability to manage self and work to meet deadlines under pressure
Ability to communicate technical information

Education

BEng level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Scientific subject
Currently or working towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status
