A leading manufacturer of carbon-ceramic materials in the UK is looking for an Assistant Buyer to enhance supplier relations and manage procurement processes. The role involves placing orders, ensuring material availability, and negotiating costs. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in production or manufacturing procurement and proficiency in SAP. We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to help us gain even more traction with suppliers, by placing orders, expediting demand, negotiating the best rates and discounts to exceed our customer expectations. As our Assistant Buyer you will ensure that direct and indirect materials and services are purchased and ready for daily production, and work to manage day to day purchasing routines, using their exceptional communication skills to achieve a win-win in supplier negotiations.
Salary: £35,000
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2.30pm
