Job summary

A healthcare provider in mental health is recruiting qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) to deliver low intensity psychological interventions as part of the NHS Talking Therapies service. Job description

Alliance Psychological Services is an independent provider of counselling and psychological therapy services based in the Tees Valley area and working across the North‑East region. We are working in partnership with Teesside Mind to deliver the IMPACT on Teesside service.

APPLICANTS MUST HOLD THE RELEVANT PWP COURSE QUALIFICATION. APPLICATIONS WITHOUT THIS WILL BE DECLINED.

We are currently recruiting for qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our innovative Impact on Teesside NHS Talking Therapies service, working with adults aged 16+ within the framework of the national NHS Talking Therapies (for Anxiety and Depression) Programme, delivering a variety of low intensity interventions via face‑to‑face, telephone, and digital modalities.

The successful post holders must hold a BPS accredited PWPrefix course qualification (at either level معنی 6 or 7), be enthusiastic, hardworking, and able to meet specified targets in order to deliver a high‑quality Primary Care Mental Health Service.

Job responsibilities

The postholder will provide a range of evidence‑based low intensity psychological interventions within the framework of the national NHS England Talking Therapies programme, as part of the Impact on Teesside NHS Talking Therapies service. The post-holderInvent tells work within Impact’s duty team where they will offer assessment and support to patients referred into the service. This position may require flexible hours between 8 am until 8 pm weekdays.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To work as a member of the Impact on Teesside Talking Therapies team templates:

  • To create and maintain effective working relationships within the wider Impact team and elsewhere
  • ಟ್ಟ to offer advice and\views support to other members of the wider Primary Care Team, including GPs and other Health Professionals, on mental health issues, and in relation to appropriate referral pathways for patients with mental health needs,
  • To liaise effectively with Secondary Care and voluntary sector organisations and services.
  • To attend meetings and provide reports as required
  • To assist in the development and promotion of the service

To provide a range of low intensity CBT interventions

  • To provide assessment, including risk assessment, of clients referred to Impact on Teess Chats, involving making decisions around treatment/sharing pathways, as well as supporting with any sign‑posting and onward referrals where clients may require other services, including statutory and voluntary agencies其次
  • To select and deliver a range of low intensity CBT interventions in collaboration with the client via a range of modalities, including telephone, face‑to‑face and group work
  • To work within an appropriate time framework
  • To maintain clients confidentiality within agreed guidelines
Safeguarding
  • Responsible for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults by always promoting the welfare of service users and operating within local policies and procedures
  • Taking appropriate safeguarding action to protect children and vulnerable adults at risk of significant harm, whilst receiving support and guidance from supervisors/senior members of staff and specialist teams
  • Signposting and/or referring families to Early Help services when required
  • To share appropriate information with other agencies regarding the service users wellbeing and progress,မွာ within the boundaries of Confidentiality and Information sharing protocols
To provide a professional and ethical service
  • To maintain appropriate records including all required assessment and evaluation tools
  • To undertake relevant Continuing Professional Development activities both as required for the purposes of PWP registration as per professional body guidance and as identified through Impacts Professional Development and Appraisal System
