Job summary

Job description

Location: Aylesbury
Hours: 16 hours per week to be worked on Saturdays and Sundays.
Salary: £10,300.58 per annum (£12.35 per hour)

The role involves driving and the manual handling of donated and other goods, transporting items between the Charity’s shops, Online Sales (based at the Showroom), Head Office and occasionally to supporters within the local area.

By facilitating the movement of stock, you will be supporting a great team of Retail staff and volunteers to raise money to provide hospice care across the local area.

Working as part of the FNHC Retail team, respond to the requirements of the FNHC Retail operation in order to maximise profitability and the smooth running of the shops.

  • You will work alone or with volunteers to collect, transport and deliver stock, equipment, other items and recycling between the Charity’s shops, Showroom, Online Sales and head office.
  • Being friendly and helpful when dealing with staff, volunteers, customers and donors.

Helping to plan the van routes to ensure deliveries and collections are carried out efficiently and cost effectively.

  • Disposing of waste and unsaleable donations safely and legally through agreed waste and recycling arrangements.
  • Being very mindful of health and safety, whether in the shops, Showroom or on the road.
  • Manage the upkeep of a vehicle, making sure the vehicle is safe and compliant.
  • You may be asked to work perform additional duties as and when required.
  • Representing the Charity in a professional manner and letting everyone know what we do and why we do it.
