Job summary

A care service provider is seeking Female Support Workers/Personal Care Assistants to assist an elderly lady with dementia in the Horsham area. Responsibilities include personal care, meal preparation, and general support to maintain independence. Various shifts are available on weekends. Candidates must have experience with dementia care and be prepared for an enhanced DBS check. This is a self-employed position offering flexible hours.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience of advancing dementia and be able to manage behavioural challenges.
  • Proof of self-employed status and carers insurance required.
  • Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Support with personal grooming and toileting.
  • Assist with meals and drinks.
  • Carry out domestic tasks including cooking and cleaning.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.

Experience with advancing dementia
Patient and encouraging attitude
Excellent interpersonal skills
Reliable with good timekeeping
Ability to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
