We are currently engaged in a major defence project to design and manufacture bespoke Process Plant & Equipment (PP&E) within our client's manufacturing cells at a new production facility. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a project that is critical to national security and innovation.

The Planner will be responsible for helping to develop, cost / resource load and then maintain the detail project plan (in Primavera P6), maintaining the plan logic & resource balance, providing regular progress/plan reports, keeping progress updated and ensuring that the resource/cost forecast profile matches actual values.

Although an engineering / technical background is not required, the Planner will be expected to liaise closely with the Senior Project Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, and members of the project delivery team to obtain status updates and progress narratives to feed into the Primavera P6 schedule. They will also be expected to work closely and collaboratively with their counterparts, both within the client organisation and the other partners involved in the project.

• Minimum 3–5 years in project planning/scheduling using Primavera P6
• Extensive experience and expertise with Oracle Primavera P6
• Experience developing & maintaining cost and resource loaded plans across long term (12 months+) design & Manufacturing/Construction projects.
• Prior experience in nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with delivery of projects under the NEC suite of contracts.
• Experience liaising with client planning function for joint reporting.
• Competent in the use of the MS Office Suite of applications
• Use of CEMAR for NEC contract management
