A leading engineering design company in Chorley is seeking a Planner to develop and maintain project plans for a major defense project. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in project planning, particularly with Primavera P6, and will work closely with project management teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national security projects.
ACTEMIUM Design is an award-winning, engineering design company focused on regulated industry sectors. As part of VINCI Energies, we deliver projects of strategic, national importance across the full lifecycle—from concept and consultancy through to detailed design and delivery. Our expertise spans mechanical, EC&I, process engineering, and project management, ensuring innovative and compliant solutions for our clients.
We are currently engaged in a major defence project to design and manufacture bespoke Process Plant & Equipment (PP&E) within our client's manufacturing cells at a new production facility. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a project that is critical to national security and innovation.
The Planner will be responsible for helping to develop, cost / resource load and then maintain the detail project plan (in Primavera P6), maintaining the plan logic & resource balance, providing regular progress/plan reports, keeping progress updated and ensuring that the resource/cost forecast profile matches actual values.
Although an engineering / technical background is not required, the Planner will be expected to liaise closely with the Senior Project Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, and members of the project delivery team to obtain status updates and progress narratives to feed into the Primavera P6 schedule. They will also be expected to work closely and collaboratively with their counterparts, both within the client organisation and the other partners involved in the project.
ACTEMIUM Design, a trading name of North West Projects Limited, has over 35-years’ experience of multidiscipline engineering design across the full project lifecycle, including support through manufacture, testing and installation/commissioning in both the nuclear and non-nuclear environment.
Our work is underpinned by our core values:
