IPPEX Global is an innovative software business delivering a global payroll platform to some of the largest payroll service providers in the world. Formed in 2016, IPPEX Global set out to transform the way global payroll services are managed through a single system to manage the end-to-end global payroll process. Designed to unite the operations of the client, global provider, and local provider through a common process, IPPEX Cloud is an integrated suite of applications operating as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering that combines task management, service requests, file management, data management, global reporting, payroll payments and an employee portal for access to payslips and other documents.

Role Description

IPPEX Global has created this new position to support the growth of the business and the ongoing evolution of its software products.

This role is to provide requirements capture, business and technical analysis in order to support the development of IPPEX Global software products and will have a scope to influence both the delivered software solutions and wider stakeholder engagement ensuring the successful candidate will have a variety of work and an opportunity to grow with the business.

The ideal candidate will be expected to have extensive experience of operating as a business analyst or similar role on complex systems within a modern software development environment with a proven track record of delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Clarify and prioritise business requirements and meticulously detail acceptance criteria and deliverables
  • Produce wireframes, diagrams, business rules, detailed design specifications and data models to support development, as required, and also participate in design and architectural discussions
  • Facilitate workshops and related meetings to provide liaison between customers, business stakeholders and the development team, understand business processes and identify high-level requirements
  • Working closely with the wider development team, produce epics and user stories to identify clear milestones, objectives and risks and coordinate the refinement, estimation and planning across implementation, test and delivery via the related work backlog
  • Work closely with the test team to facilitate sign-off and oversee software delivery
  • Work closely with the product support team to help in ongoing training as well as diagnosing complex customer issues, identifying root causes, and generating timely, detailed and actionable bug reports for the development team
Key Skills
  • Demonstrable strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to gather and document complex business and technical requirements with precise attention-to-detail
  • Understanding of modern software development processes i.e. agile methodologies and related tooling e.g. Jira, and the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of being technical as a member of the wider development team but also able to effectively interact with non-technical business stakeholders and related parties
  • Experience of working as a “Product Owner” or similar role within a modern agile software development environment, working as close liaison between customer and end-user stakeholders and development teams
  • Proactive and positive attitude with an ability to work collaboratively and a willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements and competing priorities
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Education and Experience

·Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and/or IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)

·Minimum 3-5 years experience operating as a Business Analyst or related role within a modern software development environment

  • Experience with data modelling and visualisation tooling e.g. Power BI, Tableau, and data querying languages e.g. SQL, R
  • Experience with diagram tooling e.g. Lucidchart, Miro, Draw.io
  • Experience with payroll and/or payment-related systems
  • Knowledge of modern software development and related tooling, particularly C#/.NET and web-based applications
  • Knowledge of scalable microservice architectures and containerisation technologies
  • Small but capable team of highly-motivated industry-experienced individuals, working remotely, with full technical autonomy in terms of technology selection, development tooling and process, operating in a relaxed workplace culture focused on delivering effective and high-quality software solutions to a wide variety of clients
