Job summary
A leading environmental consultancy is looking for a Water Engineer at Consultant, Senior, or Principal level to lead projects on flood risk and drainage. This remote position offers the chance to design and manage water systems while collaborating with engineers and specialists to promote sustainability. Candidates should possess a degree in Civil Engineering or Water Engineering and experience with drainage design and SuDS. - Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in flood risk management, drainage design, and SuDS delivery.
- Proficiency in relevant design and modelling software.
- Strong analytical, written, and communication skills.

- Chartership or IEng status is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to design and assessment of flood risk and drainage projects.
- Develop and review Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS).
- Undertake hydrological and hydraulic modelling.
- Analyse data to inform engineering design.
- Prepare technical reports and client presentations.
- Provide expert advice on water management and drainage design.
- Liaise with clients and authorities for compliance.
