Job summary
An educational establishment in Cheshire is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to deliver BTEC Level 1 Food to students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. The ideal candidate will possess QTS or a similar qualification and have experience in food technology lesson delivery. This role offers a temporary to permanent contract with a salary ranging from £30K to £36K per annum.
Qualifications
- Experience in planning and delivering inclusive food technology lessons.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding children procedures.
- Ideally have taught BTEC Level 1 in Food.

Core Education are proud to be working with an educational establishment based in the heart of Cheshire. They are looking to recruit a highly experienced, passionate Food Technology Teacher / Tutor to deliver BTEC Level 1 Food to their students. The students have social, emotional and mental health difficulties and other students with SEND and require a Tutor who is able to motivate, support and nurture, delivering exciting, inclusive, engaging lessons.
- Plan and deliver inclusive, practical and assigned lessons
- Create a positive learning environment
- Create lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of the qualification course
- Evaluate and observe the mental and physical health of students
- Lead lessons in an engaging way
- Provide personal feedback to the students and communicate with the parents / guardians
- Experience planning and delivering lessons in Food technology or other cookery tutoring
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, or a similar Tutor qualification
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding children procedures
- Ideally have taught BTEC Level 1 in Food
