to review our Privacy Policy. to review our Cookie Policy.Lab Technician page is loaded## Lab Technicianlocations: Stonehouse, United Kingdomtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R0033828# **Job Category:**Quality# **Job Family:**Food Safety & Quality# **Job Description:**Join our team at Stonehouse Gloucestershire as an experienced Lab Technician.**Job purpose*** To carry out chemical testing and sampling of incoming raw materials, in process product and finished products in accordance with Schreiber Standard Methods and Industry Codes of Practice.* To carry out environmental swabbing.* To work closely with production team to ensure food safety and quality of finish goods**Education and experience:*** To be educated to GCSE / O level in English, Maths & Science; Science A level standard (or equivalent) is preferred.* Have background experience in a laboratory function, preferably in food manufacturing**Tasks:*** Chemical and sensory analysis of raw ingredients and finished product (Food Scan, Titration, pH etc.)* To undertake shelf life analysis of samples, as required* Sampling of finish products for microbiological testing by external laboratory* Maintaining Quality Program* Calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment* Filter checks for any foreign bodies* Collection and storage of retain samples* Environmental monitoring of production areas* Microbiological plate count* Micro analysis of drinking water & analysis of processing aids (Glycol etc.)* Statistics reports (basic excel) & general documentation* Putting product on hold and releasing product on a system; Product investigation* To advise operations teams on product disposition and corrective action following adverse results* GMP production tours and checks for hygiene, cleanliness and work/product safety.* To work with the team in collecting lab deliveries, dealing with lab waste streams and supplying consumables to the factory as required* Monitoring of stock levels**Additional requirements:*** Ability to work in a team* Attention to details* Ability to cooperate with others* Awareness of hygiene in theory and practice* Good spoken and written English languageSchreiber Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
