A community support organization in Worthing is looking for a Cleaning Operative to ensure cleanliness across their residential and Hub services. This role involves routine and reactive cleaning tasks, compliance with health regulations, and support to the maintenance team. Ideal candidates should have basic health and safety knowledge and strong cleaning skills. The organization offers flexible working, health benefits, and generous leave, contributing to both community and colleague well-being.
At Turning Tides, we are dedicated to transforming lives and communities by providing vital support services to those experiencing homelessness and vulnerability. With a rich tradition of community fundraising, volunteering, and donations, we have established ourselves as a cornerstone in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. Now, we’re seeking a passionate individual to join us in our journey towards sustainable growth and greater impact.
We are looking for a diligent and committed Cleaning Operative to join our Property team. This role involves both cyclical and reactive cleaning across Turning Tides residential and Hub services, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
The Cleaning Operative will perform routine and reactive cleaning in communal areas, conduct VOID cleans to prepare vacant rooms for new occupants, and execute touch point cleaning. They will undertake deep cleaning following significant maintenance work or incidents and adapt cleaning tasks to meet the specific needs of each service. Additionally, they will assist the maintenance team by identifying issues during cleaning, take meter readings, and ensure compliance with health and safety practices, as well as other organisational policies.
To apply, please ensure you complete an online application form, including your responses to the questions and upload a copy of your CV. We also require you to complete an Equal Opportunities Questionnaire.
Turning Tides requires all staff and volunteers to be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults. Successful applicants (dependent on role) are required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
