Job summary
A leading oil and gas company in Scotland is seeking an HSE Advisor for a site-based role at Sullom Voe Terminal. The successful candidate will promote compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, conduct regular inspections, and deliver necessary training. Ideal applicants will have relevant qualifications such as the NEBOSH Certificate and experience in the oil and gas sector. The position offers a 2 on/2 off rotation, supporting a safe and compliant working environment through active participation in various safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience in health, safety, and environmental management in oil and gas.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance.
- Ability to conduct training and safety inspections.
Responsibilities
- Promote and ensure compliance with HSE policies.
- Conduct site inspections and safety audits.
- Support implementation of HSE Management Systems.
- Deliver HSE training to staff and contractors.

The HSE Advisor is responsible for promoting and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations on oil and gas operations. This role supports a safe working environment through proactive hazard identification, training, inspections, and incident management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, company policies, and site-specific procedures.
Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
Support the implementation of HSE Management Systems
Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and job-specific training to staff and contractors.
Participate in incident investigations; prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
Ensure emergency response plans are in place, communicated, and tested regularly.
Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions, and spill prevention.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, contractors, and stakeholders regarding HSE matters.
