  • Major infrastructure activities at Bramford Substation (4YB) and Twinstead Tee (4YH) – key locations in the National Grid transmission network
  • The Apollo project – a significant substation and network upgrade supporting the UK’s transition to a low‑carbon future

You’ll lead and coordinate temporary works across these critical project sites, ensuring they are designed, installed, maintained, and dismantled in line with BS5975, CDM regulations, and Balfour Beatty’s safety-first standards.

  • Liaise with Temporary Works Designers, Principal Designers, and site teams
  • Maintain the Temporary Works Register and ensure all required checks are completed
  • Review and approve temporary works designs in line with BS5975
  • Drive a safety‑first culture, ensuring all temporary works are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose
  • Provide practical support and engineering input across multiple sites when required
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and Balfour Beatty procedures
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Properly plan, design, and implement temporary works
  • Inspect and maintain temporary works throughout their use
  • Dismantle or remove temporary works in a safe and controlled manner
