Role Overview

We’re seeking a Livestock Supervisor to lead operations at our Whenby facility, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, and operational excellence.

You Will
  • Lead and manage livestock handlers, fostering a culture of safety, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee operational performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory, ensuring KPIs are met.
  • Collaborate with veterinary, laboratory, and quality teams to maintain biosecurity and welfare standards.
  • Drive process improvements using Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Manage documentation and reporting for all barn activities.
  • Support sustainable land use, bedding, feed, and crop generation at the facility.
  • Develop staff plans, onboarding programs, and training initiatives to build high-performing teams.
Requirements
  • 5+ years supervisory experience in animal handling (bovine preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to optimize production and costs using continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience with Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma preferred.
  • Commitment to safety, biosecurity, and sustainability.
