Community Moorings Scotland’s mission is to create amazing places for boats and people on the canals of Scotland. We want more boats, moving more often, creating a vibrancy that stretches along the canals and inland to local communities.

As Treasurer, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the charity’s finances, ensuring financial sustainability and transparency. You'll work closely with the Board of Trustees and provide advice and guidance on financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain an overview of the charity’s financial affairs
  2. Ensure proper records are kept and appropriate financial procedures are followed
  3. Produce regular financial reports and present them at trustee meetings
  4. Assist in budget planning and annual reporting
  5. Liaise with external accountants or auditors where necessary

What We’re Looking For:

We ask volunteers to attend board meetings once a month, either via Zoom or in person. Hours may vary weekly, and you can choose your work days and times. Roughly 10-12 hours per month.
