An exciting opportunity awaits a passionate Veterinary Surgeon looking to thrive in a dynamic and supportive environment.
This busy small animal surgery in Essex is seeking an enthusiastic full-time vet to join a well-established team comprising 13 Veterinary Surgeons, 12 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 10 Student Nurses, and 10 Receptionists. The practice prides itself on fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture where every team member is valued.
The location offers the best of both worlds. With free on-site parking and excellent transport links, commuting is easy—whether heading into central London in just 25 minutes or escaping to the peaceful Essex countryside in 20. The practice is also conveniently situated for access to both City and Southend Airports.
A team that nurtures professional growth. The veterinary team brings a wide range of clinical interests, from internal medicine to soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. With a generous CPD allowance and full support for certificate-level study, this is a place where career development is actively encouraged.
Work in a purpose-built, cutting-edge facility. The surgery is designed to industry-leading standards and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including two dedicated operating theatres, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, full endoscopy, and CT scanning. The practice continually invests in the latest equipment to enhance patient care and support clinical excellence.
The practice sees a broad spectrum of cases, making this an ideal role for a vet with at least three years of UK experience. Candidates should be confident with routine surgical procedures, possess strong diagnostic and internal medicine skills, and be comfortable with occasional sole charge.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to practice, and a genuine passion for veterinary care. Comfort in the consult room and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service are essential.
Full-time hours are spread across four weekdays, with a fair weekend rota of just 1 in 6 full weekends and 1 in 6 Saturdays only. Part-time hours may also be considered for the right candidate, offering flexibility to suit individual needs.
The practice is proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer, committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive workplace for all.
