About Us

The Islamic Association of North London (IANL) is a large and busy Mosque and Islamic Centre, with a long history of serving an increasingly diverse community in the London Borough of Barnet.

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual who will create opportunities for the Madrasah Team (IANL Academy) and support them to enrich our programmes of educational services.

We are looking for a role model who can take charge of IANL Academy, and to ensure that our educational service provision and its policies and practice are of the highest standard and fit for a better future.

Core Responsibilities
  • Responsible for improving the range of ‘Education’ programmes within the Academy
  • Establish, maintain & develop good management and administration for current and prospective activities.
  • Organise continuous personal and professional development of staff and teachers and to inspire and motivate them to promote the mission of Prophet Muhammad (saw)
  • Review, improve and enhance the quality of IANL programmes of study
  • Ensure that students increase their knowledge and understanding of the deen of Islam and actively learn to practice Islam in their life
  • Development and improvement of IANL Academy
  • To ensure students feel safe, secure and well supported
Skills and Qualifications
  • Although formal qualifications and the life skills needed to fulfil the above tasks will be taken into consideration, our main objective is to seek to appoint someone who embodies a clear sense of dedication to serve the Muslim community and a commitment to the house of Allah.
  • Well organised, highly self-motivated
  • Excellent people skills with creative imagination
  • Ability to deliver a shared vision
  • Self-confident in making and taking decisions calmly under pressure
  • Experience of working within an Islamic organisation
  • Qualified to a degree level or graduate of an Islamic seminary such as a Darul-Uloom
  • Dedicated commitment to an enlightened approach with an Islamic perspective in all activities related to IANL
  • Salary range: Competitive depending on experience and qualifications
  • The salary reflects the nature of the role in the charity sector
  • You will be working in an Islamic environment where you will be able to consistently pray in the mosque and will be surrounded by people with a like-minded attitude to help others
