UK Travel Technician – Siemens Gamesa

You’ll engage in the service and scheduled maintenance of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy wind turbine generators, ensuring compliance with internal processes, UK and overseas legislation, and EHS standards. Your role will be dynamic, involving travel across the UK and potentially overseas, with shifts that offer a balance of work and time off. How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Lead a team in delivering scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Conduct remote diagnosis of turbine faults and support technical supervision of critical tasks.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party technicians and contractors to ensure EHS compliance and effective execution of work.
  • Maintain compliance with customer and contractual obligations, ensuring site rules and regulations are followed.
  • Provide onsite support for customer operational issues and assist in emergency response plans.
What You Bring
  • A proactive approach to all areas of Health and Safety for both yourself and your team.
  • An electrical education at level 3 or above (e.g. NVQ 3/City & Guilds/HNC or equivalent). Preference given to candidates with a strong electrical background.
  • Previous experience of carrying out fault finding or troubleshooting on electrical/mechanical systems highly advantageous.
  • Professional experience working on service and maintenance of Electrical / mechanical systems, preferably offshore.
  • Proven ability to safely motivate and lead a small team.
  • A strong communicator willing to undertake assignments and work individually.
  • Due to the location of the role and the role requirements, the successful candidate must have a valid driving license.
  • Willingness to travel to all regions of the world, potential for 4 week rotations in Asia.
