The Volunteer Manager oversees the interests of the volunteers within the charity. They ensure that their interests are being met by the Chapter committees and the Trustees.
As part of the Trustees, you’ll provide direction to the charity, ensuring the voice of the volunteers is heard and represented. You’ll seek to promote engagement and support volunteers in remaining involved in the charity.
As a leadership role, the Volunteer Manager needs to have strong leadership qualities, able to support multiple different people in different roles. It ties closely into HR positions and requires an understanding of reasonable adjustment.
The Volunteer Manager role is a Management role, overseeing the Wellbeing Officers across all chapters, the Community Officer and the Safeguarding Officer. They ensure that Make a Smile is supportive of their volunteers, ensuring their continued support and engagement.
