About the Role
As a Photochromic Category Growth Specialist you work closely with Lens sales, Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) and internal teams to drive the adoption of Transitions products across both direct and indirect channels in England South East.
Responsibilities
- Own the growth of the Photochromic category for Essilor, using a brand‑centric approach.
- Collaborate with the Lens Sales team to identify and pursue growth opportunities with both direct and indirect customers.
- Maintain a 10‑12 week call cycle, keeping all accounts up‑to‑date on product launches and marketing activities.
- Assess each account’s current performance and develop mutually agreed plans to increase Transitions dispensing.
- Review business performance regularly with clients and commercial colleagues, including Business Development Managers, to achieve category and revenue targets.
- Leverage available tools, programmes and promotions to support ECP growth.
- Deliver CET (Customer Education & Training) sessions as needed to advance business objectives.
- Maintain accurate customer records and reports in Salesforce to enable precise data analysis.
- Continuously review customer needs and incorporate feedback into account strategies.
- Act as an ambassador for EssilorLuxottica and uphold the company’s values in all interactions.
Qualifications & Experience
- GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proven ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and influence stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
- Excellent time‑management, organisational skills and computer literacy.
- Experience in selling and negotiating, ideally with eye care or related retail environments.
- Desirable:
- Track record in account management within a sales environment.
- Knowledge of marketing theory and its application.
- Experience delivering effective training and coaching.
- Understanding of lens manufacturing processes, company products and the UK optical market.
- Knowledge of ophthalmic lens theory.
