A leading environmental charity is looking for Towpath Team Volunteers in Leighton Buzzard. This role allows you to engage in various outdoor activities, including vegetation management and litter picking. No formal skills are required; just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to collaborate with a team. Volunteers will gain great experience, meet new people, and enjoy opportunities outdoors. This is a monthly commitment, taking place on the third Wednesday from 10:00 to 14:00 along the Grand Union Canal.
Towpath Team Volunteer roles offer a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities, or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
There are no formal skills required and you have the chance to volunteer across lots of unique and beautiful environments.
Come and join the Leighton Buzzard Towpath Taskforce. We will cover a variety of activities such as vegetation management, towpath improvement, lock painting and much more. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support. Our activities take place once a month at different locations in Leighton Buzzard along the Grand Union Canal on the third Wednesday of every month from 10:00 to 14:00. Once signed up, you will receive briefings as to where the sessions will take place. In addition, you will also be notified of any other sessions that may be planned.
